Our Valentine's attire and my beautiful ruby (my birthstone) and diamond heart necklace I received that day. He gave me that along with a note of 100 things he loves about me, some other love notes, and some chocolate.
He received from me lots of candy (including gummy bears - his favorite), a Robin t-shirt (one of the few superheroes he didn't own a shirt of), stuffed animals, two cards with my heart pouring out through them, and some very special stones I found in a local Native American store. There were three that represented joy, love, and peace.
We went to the mall that day to eat some mid-day ice cream, use up all our dollar bills at an arcade, and take pictures in a little photobooth. For dinner we went to Panera then settled down at home to watch Imagine Me and You while cuddled in bed.
My Valentine's Day breakfast for him.
I made him nutella sandwich cookies the night he had to go out and take the 5 hour course. Sadly, the recipe only made twelve cookies and they were gone the next day.
I had to work the day he left and couldn't see him off. When I came home later that night, I was met with a pile of flannel shirts on my bed and a tear-inducing note.
